First Magna Cum Laude

Jeric D. Arguelles, BSED English major, makes a date with history as the school’s first magna cum laude and will lead the 208 graduates on March 16 at the Pacita Astrodome. Arguelles received an average of 1.4375 and had been offered to teach by Dr. Marissa B. Ferrer.


Of the 909 applicants who took the examination, 380 passed. According to Professor Elizabeth Pambuena; school registrar, only 350 of them will be admitted. Two examinees who both got 136points out of the 170-item test topped the PUPCET.

Won as CHAMPION in Sampaguita Festival Street Dance Competition

The street dancing number adjudged the best in the Sampaguita Festival,February 21 in celebration of the town fiesta. They received Php 15,000 cash price and a 5-foot-high trophy. Six days earlier, the school’s cheerdancers placed 1st runner up in the municipal-wide competition.

Municipality of San Pedro held cheerdance competition in San Pedro town plaza, joined by three different schools as part of the celebration of Sampaguita festival last February 16, 2012.

Polytechnic University of the Philippine, Liceo de San Pedro and Laguna Northwestern College clash to win the 5 feet trophy and Php 8,000 pesos cash prize. Inspite of the 10 point deduction to their score still, PUP San Pedro Cheerdancers was hailed as 1st runner-up and brought victory to their school inclusive of the Php 5,000 pesos cash prize. by: Jennylyn Aguirre
